Intelligent Earthworks and Reality Capture

Intelligent Earthworks and Reality Capture’s cloud-based computing and automation is used to process near real-time performance data and high accuracy ‘reality capture’ drone imagery.

Our teams are using the technology to increase safety (keeping equipment and people separated), expedite decisions, de-risk delivery, reduce paper-based administration, and increase productivity and efficiency.

Geosens

Geosens software, a proprietary solution developed in-house, simplifies the process of managing and storing construction site data, making it easier for engineers to monitor the performance of built and existing structures, improving safety outcomes while reducing risk.

The solution displays data in a graphical format that is meaningful for engineers to act upon.

One of Leighton Asia’s projects in Indonesia is using its common data structure, drones and a new drone mapping platform to track progress and support project management.

A web-based data visualisation platform with 24-hour automated monitoring software, it is used to remotely monitor and help optimise the performance of any operation or asset.

We are continually developing new proprietary digital solutions. Examples such as Virtual Builder and Tobe Maps are progressing through pilot and prototype phases and demonstrating strong value in critical areas such as safety, cost, schedule, and stakeholder engagement.

Virtual Builder

Virtual Builder is a new breed of planning and collaboration tool. Much like a flight simulator for construction, it uses real-time 3D technology to replicate the construction site and provides an immersive representation of the real-world state of a project.

This proprietary tool has been developed by EIC Activities, supported by CPB Contractors, integrating multiple AEC cloud-based technologies.

Tobe Maps

Tobe Maps takes design into the field. Developed by EIC Activities, in collaboration with CPB Contractors and Leighton Asia, the solution uses augmented reality technology to overlay a 3D digital design onto the real world.

The digital model remains anchored as team members walk around, using mobile phones or tablets to share the visualisation.
