Middlemount Operations

Sedgman operated the site following construction of the CHPP.

The site produced metallurgical quality coal at a rate of around 5Mtpa and was progressively upgraded through the operating term. A scavenger circuit was installed to enable improved recovery of ultrafine coking coal product from the tailings circuit. Sedgman was responsible for all operating and maintenance activities from loading of the ROM to operation of the TLO.
