Sedgman was engaged by Sabina Gold and Silver Corp. to update its definitive feasibility study (DFS) based on a 3000t/d processing facility with the updated gold mine surface infrastructure scope
The site is in the far North of Canada in a challenging location that includes shipping the fabricated items, process equipment, processing consumables and construction needs to a staging yard ~130km from the site in the summer months and during the winter months an ice road is constructed to transport all the items to site.
Following the DFS, Sedgman in joint venture with CGT Industrial was engaged to conduct the front-end engineering (FEED) which included ordering all the processing equipment to secure key design information from the client and de-risk the project scope and capital costs. The project scope includes site surface infrastructure and the process plant which has a configuration of primary, secondary and tertiary crushing, ball mill, cyclone classification, gravity circuit, carbon in leach (CIL) , elution and a refining throughput of 3000 tpd.
