Agnew Gold Mine Operations
Originally contracted for three years to supply and operate a fixed crushing and screening facility capable of processing up to 125,000tpm to P80-8mm, the contract was extended and continued to operate for 20 years.
Sedgman supplied, installed, commissioned, operated and maintained a three-stage gold crushing and screening plant capable of producing 125,000 t/m (P80 - 8mm) of gold bearing ore to client stockpiles.
The following techniques were used to reduce oversized ore:
- Primary jaw crusher
- Secondary cone crusher and sizing screens
- Tertiary cone crusher
Sedgman designed and built the plant out of our workshop in Townsville, Queensland, and transported it via road (23 semi-trailer loads) to Leinster, Western Australia. We completed the installation and commissioning safely, on time, and on budget. The plant continued to deliver crushing and screening ore services to the mine for 20 years.
Agreement was reached for the client to purchase the plant and handover of operations and infrastructure occurred in December 2017. The plant continues to operate under client ownership which is a testament to the design, maintenance, and service quality of the Sedgman team over 20 years, well beyond its original design and contract term.
