Broad Construction has completed the Terminal 2 upgrade at Perth Airport which involved construction of a check-in hall with 16 counters and space for new check-in technology, including self-service and bag drop.
The project also involved the construction of a central passenger security screening zone, 14 aircraft gates, high quality covered walkways, three large baggage reclaim belts and a landscaped plaza.
In addition, changes to ground transport arrangements were made with dedicated pick-up and drop-off lanes at the front of the terminal, and easy access to parking, buses and taxis provided for both arriving and departing passengers.
Environmental initiatives were a feature of the project with rainwater harvesting incorporated into the design and the underground delivery of ventilation used to improve sustainability and reduce energy costs.
Broad Construction has now been integrated to CPB Contractors. This change has enhanced CPB Contractors building expertise across Western Australia and Queensland, specifically where the majority of Broad's highly experienced delivery teams are now focused on delivering all new building projects under the CPB Contractors brand.
