The Australian Men's Shed Association's (AMSA) National Men’s Shed Gathering 2026 in Brisbane provided a valuable opportunity to recognise the growing partnership between UGL and Men’s Shed, and the positive impact it continues to have across communities.
AMSA Chairman, Luke Clifton praised the partnership between UGL and Men's Shed.
"One of the things I love that UGL does is help us tell our story, and share that with so many people…"
UGL is proud to support the vital role Men’s Shed plays in fostering inclusive community spaces where men can build friendships, share skills and improve their mental health in a welcoming environment. Over the past few years, the partnership has strengthened through practical, grassroots engagement that brings people together and creates meaningful conversation.
Support from UGL has included a number of recent initiatives, such as hosting a barbeque at UGL’s Broadmeadow site, another in Mackay, providing an informal setting for Shedders and UGL employees to connect. Men’s Shed members have also been invited to tour UGL sites, offering insight into UGL’s operations while strengthening mutual understanding and relationships.
As the partnership continues to grow, UGL looks forward to exploring further opportunities to support Men’s Shed’s important work and to contribute positively to the communities in which we operate.
