UGL was proud to sponsor the 2025 Inter-University Games and participate in the Career Activation Day at The University of Western Australia (WA) on Whadjuk Noongar Country.
This event brought together over 300 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university students from across Australia, creating an inspiring space for connection, opportunity, and shared purpose. From passionate first-year students to driven mature-age learners, the energy and ambition in the room made one thing clear — the future is in good hands.
This event gave UGL Indigenous Recruitment Business Partner, Hayley Dawson, and WA Recruitment Team Leader, Chelsea Winterbottom, the chance to connect with students, learn about their studies and goals, and share insights into CIMIC Group’s graduate and undergraduate pathways. From engineering to project management, our programs are designed to support the next generation of talent through hands-on experience across Australia’s most iconic infrastructure and energy projects.
At UGL, we’re committed to building strong, respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through our internal networking group and Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan, we foster connection, cultural exchange, and guide partnerships that support communities and drive meaningful, lasting change.
Along with our parent company, CIMIC Group, we continue to invest in future leaders, offering graduates the chance to stretch their skills, grow their careers, and make a real impact from today, into a brighter future.
