UGL has been awarded a significant three-year contract by NBN Co Limited to deliver services for its residential customers under the New Developments Module (NDM) across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
As part of the NDM contract, UGL, a member of the CIMIC Group, will expand the nbn network through deploying or reconfiguring nbn broadband infrastructure, and the delivery of full fibre and HFC technologies, allowing more residential customers to connect, on demand.
This follows recent significant contract awards in the telecommunications sector and builds on the contract recently awarded to UGL by NBN Co to provide similar services for its business customers.
UGL’s General Manager Telecommunications Con Kourtis said: “At UGL we are committed to delivering cutting-edge technology and enhancing service accessibility for customers across Australia.
Through our telecommunications capability, UGL continues to support the digital revolution in competitive on-demand markets, shaping the future of the nation's digital requirements at a broader scale.”
Work is expected to begin in November 2024.
