This month we were proud to support Friends with Dignity, a national Australian charity helping men, women and children who have been displaced by domestic violence.
Our Brisbane and Perth offices took part in a Christmas collective to donate presents for those displaced by domestic violence.
Tracey Wickham, National Fundraiser and Community Engagements Manager, from Friends with Dignity recently visited our Brisbane office to share how the charity improves the quality of life of adults and children impacted by domestic violence through the provision of financial and tangible resources, programs and scholarships.
Friends with Dignity works in collaboration with registered referral agencies to respond to any requests for assistance. These include transforming houses into homes, providing essential items, and offering scholarships to ease the burden of education and extra-curricular costs.
Across our regions, we took part in other appeals to support those in need at this special time of year. This includes:
- Mackay office: a hamper drive in support of the Mackay Women’s Centre.
- Vancouver office: a food drive for the local community food bank.
- Sedgman Prudentia: continued to support the Salvation Army's Christmas Appeal.
At Sedgman we are proud to be able to support employees and their families' well-being through our safety and wellbeing apps Sonder and Telus Health. Both are available 24/7 and provide mental health support and work/life services for employees and their families.
