This year’s theme is For Our Elders, which pays tribute to how the Indigenous Elders have paved the way for their people, taught us their knowledge and passed down their art, stories, and wisdom.
NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth. You can support and get to know your local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities through activities and events held across the country.
Sedgman is committed to meaningfully and practically contributing to the important work of reconciliation and relationship building with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. One of the ways we are doing this is through the actions from our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). To find out more about our Innovate RAP click here.
At Sedgman we will be celebrating NAIDOC Week by participating in events both virtually and in person. Being part of these events not only is an opportunity to celebrate NAIDOC Week but continues our education and development of a deeper understanding of the histories and cultures of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in which Sedgman operates.
You can support and get to know your local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities through activities and events held across the country. In 2023, how will you celebrate For Our Elders?
