We are proud to announce that Cobbora Project is now an official part of Australia's first declared Renewable Energy Zone (REZ). We have been granted access rights to the Central West Orana (CWO) Renewable Energy Zone by EnergyCo in New South Wales.
Our exciting large-scale renewable energy facility includes a 700 MWac solar facility and a 400 MW / 1600 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). It is a project of State Significance and was recently selected for inclusion on the Federal Government’s first National Renewable Energy Priority List.
When connected to the CWO REZ, the clean energy facility will have the potential to generate enough renewable energy to power approximately 280,000 average-sized homes.
We are also committed to delivering positive social and economic outcomes for local communities and businesses, by sourcing local supplies and materials, employing locally and working with our stakeholders to create a positive community legacy.
This significant achievement is a very positive reflection of the great progress being made as we develop the project. It paves the way for many more exciting approval and development milestones as we head towards starting construction in late 2027.
