Leighton Asia wins further water process works in Hong Kong

Leighton Asia has secured a new contract with Canvest (a subsidiary of Grandblue Environment), delivering a replacement deodorisation and ventilation system for a solid waste transfer station on Lantau Island in Hong Kong.

The scope of work includes:

• Replacement of four deodorisation units
• Installation of a UV sterilisation system and related ventilation at the transfer station
• Upgrade of the station’s ventilation system
• Replacement of chemical dosing and sewage treatment facilities.

This award recognises our core capabilities in water process and solid waste management, and further positions us for future opportunities in the development and enhancement of waste transfer stations across the region.

Works will be delivered by Leighton Asia’s specialist water treatment business, ECCO, which has been engaged to deliver 120 orders and contracts in sewage treatment and solid waste management for environmental infrastructure projects, over the past 24 months.
