Last week, CPB Contractors proudly joined The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation in celebrating a significant milestone – 40 years of impact through life-changing research, compassionate care, essential equipment and patient support at The Prince Charles Hospital.
As a gold sponsor of the Foundation’s Jacaranda Gala, members of the CPB Contractors team came together with industry and community leaders to recognise the incredible contribution the Foundation has made to health outcomes across Queensland and Australia over the past four decades.
The event also provided an opportunity to reflect on the importance of the work being carried out through the foundation's Tradie Health Institute (THI) initiative, and the role industry can play in supporting better long-term health outcomes for workers.
At CPB Contractors, the health, safety and wellbeing of our people is always our highest priority. While construction is an industry that helps shape and connect communities, we also recognise the responsibility we have to continue raising awareness of long-term health risks, including dust-related diseases such as silicosis.
Over the past few years, CPB Contractors has proudly supported Professor Dan Chambers and his team at the Tradie Health Institute initiative, whose research is helping advance less invasive detection methods and improve treatment outcomes for workers affected by occupational lung diseases.
“As an industry, we have a responsibility not only to protect our people today, but to support the research, education and innovation that will improve health outcomes for workers into the future,” said General Manager QLD & PNG Vince Sanfilippo.
“The work being carried out through the Tradie Health Institute initiative has the potential to make a genuine difference to the lives of workers and their families, which is why this partnership is so important to CPB Contractors.”
What’s being achieved through the Institute is genuinely life-changing. The research being undertaken has the potential to significantly improve outcomes not only for workers, but for their families and the wider industry.
Supporting organisations like The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation and the Tradie Health Institute initiative is about more than sponsorship – it’s about backing work that is making a tangible difference to the lives of people across our industry.
Congratulations to The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation on reaching this remarkable 40-year milestone, and continuing to drive meaningful change through research, education and care.
