As CPB Contractors and its Fleurieu Connections Alliance (FCA) project partners near completion of the Department of Infrastructure and Transport’s Stage 1 Main South Road and Victor Harbor Road duplications, local businesses and workers are revelling in the opportunity to develop new marketing strategies and skills.
With tourists tipped to flock to the region once Stage 1 works are complete, CPB Contractors and its Alliance partners have purpose-built Strategic Marketing Masterclasses to help local businesses capitalise on the impending opportunities.
A total of 15 business owners and employees have participated in the workshops. Run by South Australian tourism development consultant Alex Brown, the workshops covered valuable topics such as:
- Current tourism trends
- Customer attraction and strategies for reaching and engaging a wider range of visitor demographics
- The importance of creating memorable visitor experiences
With the Stage 1 works approaching full completion shortly, CPB Contractors and its Alliance partners have developed these workshops to help ensure that the region thrives long after the infrastructure upgrades are complete.
CPB Contractors is delivering this project as part of the Fleurieu Connections Alliance with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, Aurecon and GHD. The project involves duplicating approximately 10 kilometres from south of Griffiths Road, Seaford to Aldinga. This includes the addition of two new lanes in each direction, as well as the widening of shoulders and the construction of new median barriers.
