High performance recognised by our industry and peers
CPB Contractors, with CIMIC Group operating companies UGL and Ventia, has featured in the 2018 National Infrastructure Awards for excellence in construction.
Our team, as part of the GoldLinQ consortium, won the ‘Government Partnership Excellence’ category for delivery of the Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 2 project for the Queensland Government.
Delivered early and under budget, during the 18 months of construction approximately 90% of the 2,300 workers inducted were from the Gold Coast and South East Queensland.
In addition, CPB Contractors had two contenders in the ‘Contractor Excellence’ category, with CityLink Tulla Widening in Victoria and Moreton Bay Rail in Queensland being recognised as finalists for exceptional work in meeting all project objectives.
Congratulations also to the CPB Contractors teams who delivered the Northern Beaches Hospital in New South Wales and the Post Entry Quarantine Facility in Victoria. These projects were selected as finalists for the 2018 Australian Construction Achievement Award, as organised by the Australian Contractors Association.
UGL, as part of the Metro Trains Melbourne consortium, won the ‘Operator and Service Provider Excellence’ award for its delivery of the MR4 Melbourne Rail Franchise project. In the same category, Ventia was named as a finalist for the Victorian CityLink Incident Management Transition project.
