UGL is pleased to announce our new partnership with the Clontarf Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that exists to improve the education, life skills, and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men.
Joining forces with Clontarf will provide young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students with insights into UGL and the many career opportunities we offer, while boosting UGL’s multi-skilled and diverse workforce.
UGL operates at 17 projects and sites close to 22 Clontarf Academy schools in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia. Through these locations UGL will offer Clontarf students access to work experience, school-based apprenticeships, career and employment opportunities.
For our people, the Clontarf partnership offers opportunities to volunteer, attend local academy activities including football training sessions, camps and excursions, bringing UGL closer to the communities in which we operate.
“We’re excited and inspired to partner with a forward-thinking organisation like the Clontarf Foundation. Clontarf’s aspirations and objectives match our own principles. Aligning UGL with Clontarf is core to strengthening our diverse and talented workforce,” said UGL Managing Director, Jason Spears.
“We look forward to building our partnership with UGL over the coming years and most importantly, connecting with UGL people on local level where our organisations co-exist.” said Clontarf Foundation Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Gerard Neesham.
Initially, the partnership will support broader community engagement opportunities in 17 UGL locations, and it is hoped that the partnership will grow to further benefit both organisations as UGL teams mobilise to new sites and projects.
