Congratulations to all the finalists in the 2022 Queensland Resources Council (QRC) Indigenous Awards, especially our very own Emma Richards and Nicole Shibasaki.

Multi-skilled Operator, Emma and Dispatch Officer and Mining Supervisor, Nicole have been announced as finalists in the Exceptional Indigenous Person in Queensland Resources category recognising exceptional achievements by an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person working with the Queensland resources sector in any occupation or profession.

The QRC Indigenous Awards promote and celebrate the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees within the resources sector. The awards aim to promote the industry as a career of choice for Indigenous people and showcase Indigenous role models and ambassadors within our sector.

Thiess is also proud to be a Gold Sponsor for the awards night, happening on June 23.

The QRC is a not-for-profit peak industry association representing the commercial developers of Queensland’s minerals and energy resources.
