The 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence campaign is held annually between 25 November – 10 December. The significance of the 16 days is that the campaign is held between the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Human Rights Day. This year, the theme of the campaign is ‘Ending Femicide’ by highlighting certain groups of women who are facing this violence – including women in the world of work.
November 25 marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and marks the launch of the campaign.
Sedgman and Sedgman Onyx is committed to raising awareness for gender-based violence against all people, and to call attention to the relationship between the workplace and family and domestic violence.
The team wore orange and purple to raise awareness and take action to end violence against women and girls. The two colours represent different initiatives across our regions with purple raising awareness about gender-based violence in Canada. As a bright and optimistic colour, orange represents a future free from violence against women and girls in other regions.
With offices across the globe, we are proud to support how different regions raise awareness of domestic violence.
Let’s stand up together against family and domestic violence.
