Be inspired award - innovative achievement

Achievement in applying BIM technology to optimise efficiency and streamline workflows

Leighton Asia’s Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facility Passenger Clearance Building (PCB) project team received the "Be Inspired Award - Building Information Modelling (BIM) achievement in the Construction category".

The competition attracted more than 400 entries to compete for 17 awards across different categories.

The team’s innovative use of BIM enables effective communications among stakeholders and reduces redo of works by identifying potential clashes between the design and construction phases in advance.

How did the PCB team leverage BIM in their project?

The team use BIM methodology to drive consistency and uniformity for the design, survey, and construction of the project to overcome the range of software applications used by different teams across regions.

BIM application reduces redo of works by identifying potential clashes between the design and construction phases in advance.
