Recently, CPB Contractors’ Rockhampton-based team delivered the finishing touches on their Capricornia Correctional Centre project.
Completion of the Capricornia Correctional Centre marks one of three prisons completed by CPB Contractors in Australia and New Zealand in the past two years.
Delivery of the Capricornia Correctional Centre project includes more than 160 new residential cells, 100 secure cell bunks, a new residential officers’ station and a site-wide security upgrade.
“The project achieved a number of goals along the way with a primary focus on supporting the local community, local industry and local workforce,”
CPB Contractors Project Manager Mark Bombardieri said.
“I am very proud of the work delivered at Capricornia, especially given the complexities of a live Correctional Centre and the additional impact of COVID”, he added.
