In partnership with the North East Link Program (NELP), the Spark consortium is providing $50,000 worth of nursery vouchers to more than 20 local schools and early learning centres as part of Melbourne’s Greener North East initiative.

CPB Contractors and Pacific Partnerships, together with other members of the Spark consortium, are delivering the North East Link Primary Package PPP.

The Greener North East initiative is in addition to commitments to replant two trees for every one that has to be removed as the North East Link Tunnels are built, with more than 30,000 trees to be planted as part of the North East Link Program.

The vouchers were procured through Yarra View and Bushland Flora Nursery – a leading local social enterprise nursery which employs 135 staff, including 85 adults living with intellectual disability.

Streeton Primary School will use the vouchers to provide a boost to the school’s permaculture farm. Representatives from Spark visited the school to see its garden with representatives from NELP, the nursery and Victorian Government MPs.

The Primary Package PPP provides three-lane twin tunnels that will finally close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network.
