Juan Santamaria

J Santamaria CPB Contractors Managing Director

Juan Santamaria is CPB Contractors Managing Director.

Mr Santamaria was previously Managing Director of UGL. Prior to that he was Executive General Manager Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) and Construction West at CPB Contractors with responsibility across the Group’s construction operations in Western Australia and the Northern Territory and for CPB Contractors’ subsidiary Broad, as well as CPB Contractors’ PPP projects.

Mr Santamaria has more than 16 years’ international experience in the delivery of large and complex construction projects in Europe, North America, Latin America and South Africa.

Douglas Thompson

D Thompson CIMIC Group Mining and Mineral Processing Executive and Thiess Managing Director

Douglas Thompson is CIMIC Group Mining and Mineral Processing Executive and Thiess Managing Director. He is responsible for leading CIMIC Group’s operating companies Thiess and Sedgman.

Mr Thompson was formerly Executive General Manager Queensland, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand at CPB Contractors. Prior to that he was Executive General Manager of Australia and Pacific operations at Thiess.

Mr Thompson has more than 20 years’ experience in coal and metalliferous mining operations globally. He has a strong industry reputation for driving operational excellence and developing greater in-house capability to deliver more value to clients.

He has held senior positions on major Australian and international mine sites, giving him an in-depth understanding of all facets of operational management, including significant mine expansions and upgrades.

Grant Fraser

G Fraser Managing Director, Sedgman NHD Eng (Mechanical) GAICD

Grant Fraser was appointed as Acting Managing Director of Sedgman in September 2017 and Managing Director in December 2017. During 20 years with CIMIC Group, Mr Fraser has held a number of senior management positions including EIC Activities General Manager, Thiess Sedgman Joint Venture Manager and most recently Thiess General Manager.

Mr Fraser’s previous experience includes 18 years with Thiess where he was responsible for the delivery of engineering, procurement and construction projects. Mr Fraser has engineering and construction experience in the resources and energy industry, working on oil and gas and minerals processing projects globally. He has delivered major projects and demonstrated skills in strategy, business development, tendering and project delivery.

Jason Spears

J Spears UGL Managing Director

Jason Spears is UGL Managing Director.

Mr Spears has 25 years’ experience working in Australia and internationally as a professional engineer and business leader in the resource, civil infrastructure and building sectors.

Mr Spears, who joined CIMIC Group in 1999, was previously Executive General Manager, Major Projects and NSW at CPB Contractors. Prior to that he held roles at Thiess.

He has led successful outcomes on major projects and demonstrated exceptional leadership and management skills across all phases of strategy, business development, tendering and project delivery. His strong focus on safety and disciplined project controls has resulted in project certainty and value for money outcomes for clients, as well as business growth and improved profitability for the company.

Martin D'Uva

M D'Uva Managing Director, Pacific Partnerships

Martin D’Uva is Pacific Partnerships Managing Director.

Mr D’Uva has 20 years international experience, including managing different stages of PPPs in Europe, North America and South America across transportation and social infrastructure projects.

Mr D’Uva was formerly Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at HOCHTIEF Group based in Germany. HOCHTIEF is a major PPP developer and manager in Europe and North America. Prior to that he was Asset Management Director of Iridium, an ACS Group company and leading global PPP developer and manager. Mr D’Uva also has a background in investment banking and private equity.

Glen Mace

G Mace Managing Director, EIC Activities

Glen Mace is the EIC Activities Managing Director.

Mr Mace previously held roles with CPB Contractors including General Manager Rail and General Manager Eastern Infrastructure.

He has more than 25 years of rail and civil engineering experience and has established and managed successful teams within alliance, partnering and D&C contracts on civil, rail and multidisciplinary projects, internationally.

Mike Metcalfe

Mike Metcalfe M Metcalfe CEO, Ventia

Mike Metcalfe is a highly experienced and respected industry leader responsible for leading Ventia’s combined telecommunications, infrastructure and utilities services business.  He brings to this leadership role more than 26 years of experience in senior executive management positions across infrastructure, telecommunications, services, buildings, and oil and gas.

Prior to Ventia, Mr Metcalfe was the Deputy Managing Director of Leighton Contractors and Executive General Manager of Leighton Contractors Services.

With a reputation for delivering diversified and profitable market strategies in support of sustainable business outcomes, Mr Metcalfe is aiming to make Ventia the best telecommunications, infrastructure and utilities services business in Australasia.

Moustafa Fahour

M Fahour CEO and Managing Director, BIC Contracting

Moustafa Fahour OAM is the CEO & MD of BIC Contracting. He was previously Executive General Manager, Finance for CIMIC Group and prior to that he was the Group Chief Financial Officer for BIC Contracting.

Mr Fahour has over 15 years of experience in the banking industry, construction, management and has been with the CIMIC Group since 2012. Prior to this Mr Fahour held senior roles with Macquarie Bank, National Australia Bank, UBS and Citigroup.

Mr Fahour was recognised with the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) by the Australian Government in 2015 and was selected as one of The World’s Most Influential Young Arabs under the age of 40, by Arabian Business that same year.
