Innovation

As a Group of industry leaders, we set the pace – turning experience, knowledge and technical break-throughs into better solutions.

Challenge – innovate – evolve

We constantly challenge how we deliver and invest in innovation to create value. This means we are continually pushing our performance forward and evolving our offer to the market. Our investment in innovation ensures we stay at the forefront of our industries and deliver clients the best solutions for sustainable outcomes.

We focus on making tasks safer or simpler and achieving more value by working differently in areas such as technical solutions, methods and processes. We also embed a safety legacy into the assets, infrastructure and resources projects we deliver – safeguarding the people who will operate, maintain and use them into the future.

Repeatable, scalable innovation

Our Group-wide Innovation Program, and EIC Activities, our engineering and technical services business, accelerate our ability to develop and implement innovations, amplifying insights and sharing them across our companies to maximise the benefits of our diverse end-to-end capabilities.

Collaboration

Our workplaces are dynamic. Our people are encouraged and equipped to collaborate, innovate and make a difference with new ideas and improvements. To support this, we leverage the expertise and experience of specialists from EIC Activities, the capabilities across our Group, and the opportunity to work closely with clients, partners, suppliers and wider stakeholders. This is how we deliver more through integrated solutions.

Our global reach gives us access to specialist design, technical support, research and technology from our major shareholder, HOCHTIEF, and its companies such as Turner and Dragados – some of the leading engineering, construction and services companies in the world.

Digital engineering

Our digital technology focus supports information sharing and innovation, enabling us to be more efficient, data-driven and nimble. With digital engineering providing exciting opportunities to advance the way projects are designed and delivered, our people are at the forefront of integrating the latest technology on our projects. This includes technology like Building Information Modelling, through to field-based data capture and reporting for more efficient delivery, through to advanced fleet technologies to support remote management and many more.

First in Australasia

CIMIC Group companies, CPB Contractors, Leighton Asia, UGL, Sedgman, Pacific Partnerships and EIC Activities, are the first Australasian companies to achieve Kitemark certification for excellence in Building Information Modelling (BIM) in design and construction from the international standards leader, British Standards Institution (BSI).
