Sedgman has been awarded a $27m contract for a stockpiling and train load-out project at QCoal’s Byerwen Project in central Queensland. Sedgman will be providing full discipline engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) for a tunnel stockpile reclaim system, train load-out conveyor and train load-out bin.

The project continues Sedgman’s 10-year relationship with QCoal that was initially established through the Sonoma Project and Operations. The relationship was strengthened when Sedgman completed the design of the Byerwen coal handling and preparation plant in 2016. Sedgman looks forward to continue working with QCoal as they develop the Byerwen Project.

Works for this project will commence in June 2017 and will be completed by the end of the year.
