Leighton Asia’s strong presence in the Philippines has leveraged the expertise and capabilities of EIC Activities to secure two major civil projects in the Philippines: the Candaba 3rd Viaduct and South Commuter Railway projects.
EIC Activities is now embarking on detailed design services for both projects to support Leighton Asia’s Philippines business.
Candaba Viaduct
EIC Activities is providing the detailed design services for the for the Candaba 3rd Viaduct project.
The scope of work includes the design and construction of an independent 5.3km bridge between the existing northbound and southbound lanes of the viaduct.
EIC Activities will also deliver permanent and temporary works designs for the project.
North South Commuter Railway System – South Commuter Railway Project
The Leighton-First Balfour joint venture was awarded the project to construct a section of the South Commuter Railway (SCR) Contract Package S-03B which will ease road congestion around Manila.
EIC Activities supported the winning JV tender team and will deliver detailed design services for the major temporary works to be constructed in this project.
The contract works include civil engineering, tunnel and building works for approximately 6.1km of the railway with 4.7km of the underground railway and 1.4km of at-grade railway, construction of the FTI Station, tunnelling works to connect to the Metro Manila Subway Project Senate Station, as well as mechanical, electrical, façade and other ancillary works.
